«Ковровый рыцарь». Рыцарь, получивший своё звание не на поле битвы, а во дворце, преклоняя колена на ковре. В более широком смысле это слово обозначает презрительное отношение к любому солдату, который не воюет на передовой, а отсиживается в тылу, а также к любому ленивому человеку.
